Angel's Trumpet

Blooming this week is our beautiful Brugmansia suaveolens, or Angel's Trumpet. A member of the Solanaceae family, this broadleaf evergreen is cultivated and naturalized at low tropical elevations.

This particular specimen's orange flowers are most fragrant in the early morning. Even though its flowers may smell heavenly, don't let this plant's common name fool you- Angel's Trumpets are very poisonous!
